Tata Teleservices Maharashtra (TTML) is expected to close this fiscal with the highest-ever revenues of Rs 2,000 crore. The Tata Group
company has invested over Rs 1,750 crore in its wireline and wireless networks, and will launch GSM services in Mumbai in the second-half of this year.
The BSE-listed TTML reported revenues of Rs 1,500 crore in the first nine months of the current financial year. “We are making it (FY09) a Rs 2,000-crore year,” said TTML MD Mukund Govind Rajan, while announcing the launch of its wireline broadband product offering ultra-high speeds of up to 100 mbps for retail customers.
“The Tatas have invested over Rs 1,750 crore in creating a world-class digital communications infrastructure in Mumbai over the past decade. We have a vision for digital Mumbai, offering broadband services anytime, anywhere,” he said.
